Double glazed windows have two panes of glass separated by an air space, often filled with an insulating gas like argon. This gap acts as a barrier to heat loss, ensuring your home remains warm throughout the cooler winter months.
The gap between the two panels of glass is filled with an inert gas like argon, which is an extremely poor conductor of heat. As the argon particles don’t transfer heat easily, the trapped air space acts as an insulator, slowing the loss of heat exponentially and keeping your home warm all year round.
Generally, triple glazing is considered superior to double glazing but it depends on your needs. Most homes will be perfectly fine with our high-quality double glazed products. However, for those after more advanced thermal performance, triple glazing is a great choice.
